1976 appeared my first book with KOSMOS publishers “British Sheepdogs” which iniated also my dog photo activities. I expanded my activities to all kind of dogs especially to breeds which I still could experience in their traditional functions.

The book “KOSMOS Hundeführer” – dog breed guide – fulfilled my dream because I was able to produce a dog book which not only described the looks but also origin, history, function and character. It was a real bestseller in this range of books. First published 1990, in 2003  totally revised 4th edition followed with new breeds and photos which had to be re-printed in 2004. The book was translated into many languages, was a bestseller in several editions in Japan and was published in Russia and China in 2005. 2008 was spent with the totally revised 5th edition, published in 2009. Many interesting breeds were added, pictures exchanged. All information was edited to latest knowledge.

Other books followed which were also published internationally. I was especially pleased with the dog book for children “Mein Hund” published in Korea.

In 2008 “250 Hunderassen” – 250 dog breeds – was a big success. A  handy pocket guide with the most important breeds most of which I photographed especially for this book. 2007 saw me busy with three chapters and photos for the book “Praxisbuch Hunde” which was published in 2008.

2010 will see a new edition of my book on “Bearded Collies” and there are more exciting tasks to follow…
