Welsh Sheepdog "Pedro"

Originally I concentrated on “my” breed, the Collie, but during the beginning of the 1970ies I gained interest in other breeds and photographing them in their natural habitat. It was now a main aim to see our pedigree dogs in their traditional function where still possible. During the decades I collected information and photos which are the basis of my photo archives and my journalistic work.

During the last 30 years I regularly worked for magazines like Hundewelt, Hunde Revue, MeinHund and the Deutsches Hundemagazin as well as the Japanese Magazin Aiken No Tomo and a Greek dog magazine. Occasionally articles and photos appeared in Herz für Tiere, Partner Hund, Das Tier, Dogs and many others. 1985 to 1993 I was editor of the magazine Hundewelt and since 1996 I have been editor for pedigree dogs with the Deutsches Hundemagazin. Since 1977 I have been editor of my own magazines Collie Revue and since 1997  Beardie Revue.
