Here I should like to inform you on any new features and photos added to my archives - they may not yet be available in the gallery but you are welcome to enquire for more information or photos by phone or email.

2007 to 2009 were very busy years for me with several new books and lots of photographs. Main task however was the 5th edition of my all breed guide, the "KOSMOS Hundeführer" with an amazing number of new breeds turning up. After so many years of being familiar with my dear old Nikon F5 I finally decided to go digital. I was never fond of it as I feel digital images are a short living thing. Whilst I still enjoy to look at my slides after 20 years and they have not lost their brilliance, I cannot imagine looking at the digis in 20 years.... nevertheless, my slide archives cover so many thousand photos and I may not even be interested in looking at any of them in 20 years I thought the digis would do. So I  started small with a compact for my private piccies and got hooked! Now I am getting trained on my D200 and after buying a new lense I am totally enjoying it. I still see the problem of filing and securing the photos but digis make life so much easier... and if they serve my purpose I doubt if I will ever go back to my old heavy machine...

Here are a few of the new breeds I added to my new book.

The American Indian Dog and the American Hairless Terrier

The Chortaj or Hortaja from Russia and the Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog who climbs trees when hunting coons and oppossums.

The Foo dog brought from China and bred in the USA and the Moscow Watchdog who was created by crossing St. Bernards with Caucasian Shepherds to create an excellent guard dog.

The Silken Windhound bred from long haired Whippets and Borzois to create a small long coated sighthound making an excellent pet and Kritikos Lagonikos from Crete which is an ancient hunting and  farmer's dog.
